You can't get where you want to go without having a plan. If you fail to plan, you plan to fail!
It is important to begin with the end in mind when setting your educational and athletic goals.
- What kind of lifestyle do you want for yourself and family?
- What kind of job will allow you to live that type of lifestyle?
- What college degree program will you need in order to work in the field that you hope to pursue?
- How can participating in college athletics help you earn your college degree?
- What are you doing in high school to prepare you for your college education and athletics?
In a general sense:
- What are the college and athletic goals of the student-athlete?
- What are the goals of the parents for their child?
- What are your current GPA and Class Rank?
- Who has objectively evaluated the student-athletes’ talent?
- What intercollegiate level is the student-athlete projected to compete at?
- What are the families plan to achieve these goals?
